How do I change the Windows XP Home Welcome Screen screensaver?

We have three different user accounts and each account is allowed to have a unique screensaver when logged on, so I know how to change the regular screensaver. But when nobody is logged on and the welcome screen is showing, a very generic screensaver will eventually appear. Anybody know how to change it?

If you don't know exactly how to do this, PLEASE do not attempt to answer this question. How do I change the Windows XP Home Welcome Screen screensaver?
It involves editing your registry, and you'll need to know the exact file name of the screensaver you want, and exactly where the file is.

Here's detailed instructions from microsoft:

1.Click Start, and then click Run.

2.In the Open box, type regedt32, and then click OK.

3.In the Registry Editor window, locate the following registry key: (remove the spaces between the backslashes, there, I had to add them in to get YAnswers to display this right)

HKEY_USERS \ .DEFAULT \ Control Panel \ Desktop

4.In the right pane, double-click SCRNSAVE.EXE.

5.In the Edit String dialog box, type the name of the screen saver that you want in the Value data box, and then click OK. For example, if you want to use the Mystify screen saver as your logon screen saver, type ssmyst.scr.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that you correctly specify the path to the screen saver. If the screen saver is located in %SystemRoot%\System32, the explicit path is not required.

6.Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor.

P.S. It's always a good idea to make a backup copy of your registry before you start editing it. Too easy to mess something up.How do I change the Windows XP Home Welcome Screen screensaver?
i dont know.
Go to your desktop....(The background starting screen) and right click. Then click the Screen saver tab and select one from a drop down menu. Click apply.

YOU DO THE SAME THING! I know what I am talking about...I help our schools Techie.
I don't know how! Sorry!
from any user right click and go to properties and select desktop and change the wallpaper
I don't know EXACTLY how to do it, but my guess is that it defaults to the Administrator's screensaver. When you're starting your computer up, hold shift to boot in safe mode. That should give you access to the Administrator log-in. Try changing the screensaver for that account.
right click on the desktop-%26gt; screensaver-%26gt; choose None
right

click on properties
on the screen u right click and select Properties. then when u get to the properties page, click the Desktop tab. then select which desktop theme u want.
First, minimize all screens so that your desktop is all that you see. Next, right click anywhere on an empty space. A small screen thing should come up where you clicked. Now, click on properties. A pop-up should come up. Click on the screen saver tab. You may now choose which one you want from the available ones, or search the Internet for one.

Hope this helps!
I think Greenfang is right. It defaults to the Administator's screensaver. So log in to the Administrator's account and change the active screensaver there.
you go to the start and go up to settings and click control panel. then when that comes up u click display. its like a little screen that has a paintbrush on it. then u click the screensaver tab and u pick what screensaver you want. u can even determind how long until it goes off!
