Do a system restore then do the process again download AVG and some Anti spyware(Spy Bot or something like that) you should then be ok if not back up all you files and restore to factory settings and install the anti virus and spyware before putting your files back on
start your computer in safe mode with networking by tapping the F8 key while it is booting up...uninstall avg from the control panel..add/remove programs....download the free home version of avast from www.avast.com and run a boot time scan which is part of the set up..it will remove those nasty viruses and a few other things that avg missed....it also has awesome resident protection....cheers
Firstly, antivirus programs will NOT remove these as they are malicious codecs, although they may find reference to them and remove it but upon rebooting it's back again.

Therefore you need to use a 'layered' approach to removing this parasite.

If the problem persists, turn OFF System Restore and scan with the above programs in Safe Mode, then turn System Restore back ON and create a new restore Point.

Do NOT turn off System Restore before trying the above fixes, it may not be necessary.

Right click My computer %26gt; select Properties %26gt; System Restore Tab %26gt; Tick Turn Off System restore on all drives.
