You have to set what is called policy for other users. Go to Control Panel %26amp; open the ';User Accounts'; Section. Click Start(lower left corner), then Settings, then Control Panel. There are options to allow\not allow other users to fool with your settings. If they don't have ';rights to';, they can't change or use certain things. Also, your XP may have come with that huge tutorial that will explain the steps. I don't remember it's name. It's not just text, it's a visual\movie type tutorial. You can shut off Guest Accounts, but if they use your account your still in trouble.Anybody know how to restrict certain usage of the Guest Account on Xp?
Why should you have to baby-sit them if it is YOUR system?

tell them to keep their darn hands off the stuff or you will disabled the guest account and not let them use it

You can easily disable it and add a password to logging in and not let anyone get in to it

Frankly I do not let Anyone on mine. This is not the local library after all

IF you really need to make changes it is likely under the main admin account

Do a google search for changing admin and user accounts in Windows XP
