Well, it started off when I got on my laptop one day and there was like this pop-add stuff set as my background on my laptop. Then sometimes when I was trying to go to one website, it would take me to another one about that pop-add stuff and crap. Now, my Internet Explorer wont work. It keeps saying ';Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage'; but I can sign on to yahoo messenger and AIM. Plus, when you turn the laptop on, it takes like 15 minutes for it to load. My screensaver wont come on either and the settings are like all changed in the ';properties'; so I cant change my screensaver or anything. Whenever I turn my laptop on, the background always turns blue, even when I changed it to something else. If anyone knows anything I can do to get it to work, it would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Download, install and update the following:
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from download.com
SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition from download.com
Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy from safer-networking.org
Ad-Aware Free from lavasoft.com
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition from free.avg.com
run all of the scans in safe mode
Once you've done the above, you can also run a free online virus and spyware scan which will also clean your computer at housecall.trendmicro.com ... this takes a long time
