How do i change how long my computer screen lasts before it turns off? (read details)?

I have windows xp and im on a home computer. When i right click on my desktop and go to properties%26gt;display properties i dont have the screensaver tab. Is there any other way to access my screensaver options? How do i change how long my computer screen lasts before it turns off? (read details)?
hey not many xp users still. anyway, just open your control panel, find display options or anything else that has to do with display if there is no display options. the menu that comes up once you find screen saver should have a picture of a monitor on it, and a window below that says the different screen saver options, such as black or slide show, etc. etc. now, underneath that should have some way of choosing how long to have the computer unused before it goes into screen saver. now, be careful with this. if you set it too long then the image that you leave on your computer could become burned onto the screen. what that means is when you go to a different page, you will see somewhat of a shadow that is the screen that got burned. now, this isn't permanent but there is now way to make it go away except wait. now, you can set the time longer if your just watching a movie or video but remember to lower it again after wards. it will only go into screen saver if you don't touch the mouse or keyboard for the time you have it set.How do i change how long my computer screen lasts before it turns off? Type gpedit.msc in the Run dialog box.

Double-click Hide Screen Saver tab.

Select Not Configured.

press ok.

2. Try power save option.

click on start.

Go to control panel.

click on Power options icon.
