Screensaver?? [malware]?

A while ago my computer had gotten the malware software and my screensaver changed to a blue background it say that i got a virus and need to install and anti-virus..etc....i uninstalled the malware software and my screensaver didn't change back so i went to my control panel I went on display and i only had 3 tabs thame, appearance, settings.



help me how can i change my screensaver??Screensaver?? [malware]?
You got rid of the malware, but it could have already corrupted other programs on your computer.



Best thing to do is a fresh installation and if you have more than one pc in your house with a home network then you should unplug your network cable as it can spread to the other computers.



Now how did you get rid of it? Because it could have spread through your registry which wouldnt be good.



Im sure you have an anti virus or spyware if so scan and get rid of the virus.



If you dont then download avg as its free and decent enough.



Anyways it did some damage as it doesnt show desktop or screensaver options.



Try a right click on your desktop and choose properties and see if the options of desktop and screensaver are an option.



If not then it's time to format pc and install fresh copy of windows.

if all you did was uninstall that software that doesnt get rid of the virus because it has already been transferred. you need to install the antivirus stuff to get rid of it.
