Windows Vista - Auto Shutdown Screen & Hardrive, screensaver?

I have now just got windows vista and I can figure out how to change the times to automatically shut down the screen %26amp; hard disc after the inactive period, but how do you switch it on, I have set it to 20 minutes and still after 2 hours of not touching it, the screen is on.Windows Vista - Auto Shutdown Screen %26amp; Hardrive, screensaver?

Control panel , power icon and do it from there.
Right click on anywhere on the desktop and click on personalize, choose scrensaver from the options window and then choose your screensaver and alter the timing, as you've said you've already done that bit alter it away from your setting and then move it back again and the apply option should become visible, click on that and then click on o.k. and you should find it works unless you have a laptop which will power down in less time than you've got set for the screensaver.
if i remember right, go to control panel and look for something about power options
