i just deleted system prefences for good and it wont let me open it i dont no what to do how can i change my desktop and screensaverMac owners only ergent help me im scared and going to cry?
That sucks. If it's really gone, it's not in the trash, and it's not in the applications folder or anything, you need to go find the discs that came with the computer. Find the one that says ';Mac OS X Install Disc 1';. Put that in the computer and reinstall the operating system so that you'll have system preferences again. I think there's a way where you can just install the application system preferences by itself, but if you can't when you reinstall the operating system, all of your stuff is going to be deleted (music, photos, etc.). So, back up all of your stuff on a flash drive or a hard drive before you reinstall if that's the case.
Hope I helped. 銉?br>
Aww man. You don't have the disc? I don't know how to fix it without the disc. You should go to an Apple Store and tell them what happened. They'll be able to help you better. They might even give you a new disc.Mac owners only ergent help me im scared and going to cry?
Call mac support service and they can help you work the problem out. I believe that if you start from the beginning with the disk may help but call support.
Open Macintosh Hard Drive on the desktop
Go into the ';applications'; folder.
Drag ';system preferences'; back to the quick launch bar (application bar).
If you deleted it from your computer, then you're going to have to reinstall your OS from the disc.
Download and install Pacifist, link below. Use it to find ';System Preferences.app'; on either the install DVD or the install ';Disc 1'; CD. Pacifist can download it from the disc to the hard drive. Put it in the Applications folder.
