I just turned on my laptop after it being off for 5-6 days. Everything that used to be white (icons, text, background, screensaver) is now a teal blue color. It also looks as though there is a white shadow behind the black font (like what I'm typing now -- there is a teal background, black font, and a white shadowing on the black font). How do I change this to the standard white background? Is something seriously wrong with my laptop?Computer screen: everything that used to be white now is teal color?
Your monitor cable inside the laptop might be loose. My old laptop used to do something like this. Id press my fingers on both sides of the monitor at the bottom where the cover part is, and it would straighten out. Or Id just close the laptop and reopen it again and it would fix itself. But its probably the ribbon cable that goes up to the screen from the main part of the laptop. You have to feel around the base and see if that fixes it.

Nokia 6030 help...............?
Does anyone know if you can change the background color and if so how? I don't mean the wallpaper or the screensaver, (I know how to change those) but the actual background color that you have when you are going through your menu.Nokia 6030 help...............?

I'm running XP. When I right click on desktop and select properties, the window opens with no tabs to select screensaver, etc. It only show Display Properties, with theme. I don't know how you can make the desktop link work again, but I do know how you can change your screen saver. Click on the start button, then click on Control Panel on the left. From there, click on Appearance and Themes. Somewhere down the line should be an option to change your screen saver. Click that, and you should be able to change it from there.

If so then your screensaver is in abother name and probally located in your Windows Folder

hmm, it sounds like you know what to do. right click on desk top. choose properties... choose screensaver... click on the drop down list... make your selection... click apply.... if you want to preview press preview....then press ok...

Windows Vista - Auto Shutdown Screen & Hardrive, screensaver?

Right click on anywhere on the desktop and click on personalize, choose scrensaver from the options window and then choose your screensaver and alter the timing, as you've said you've already done that bit alter it away from your setting and then move it back again and the apply option should become visible, click on that and then click on o.k. and you should find it works unless you have a laptop which will power down in less time than you've got set for the screensaver.
